Welcome!

This year I will be teaching Ecology and Applied Biological Systems.  In Ecology, we will be learning about the way that humans and other organisms interact with each other and the natural world.  Applied Biological Systems in an introductory agriculture class.  In this class, we will be learning about the science behind producing animals and plants.  We will also learn about career skills.

About me:
This is my tenth year as a science teacher, and my seventh year at Canyon Valley.  I am excited to also be teaching Applied Biological Systems this year, which is an introductory agriculture class.  I am very glad that I chose this career!  Before teaching at Canyon Valley, I taught biology, anatomy/physiology, and integrated science at Apache Junction High School.  Before that, I had many biology related jobs, such as a zookeeper, field researcher, veterinary technician, and animal care technician.  I received both my Masters degree in Education and my Bachelors degree in Biology from ASU.  I also have an Associates degree in Welding from MCC.
